For this piece, I wanted to pay homage to a timeless icon who never ceases to find innovative ways to stay relevant in the modern world. Elton John is able to connect with people young and old, recently gaining popularity with the youth by his collaboration with Dua Lipa. He’s a great representation of how an aritst can evolve and adapt to this ever-changing society while bringing positivity. I imagined this mural being placed somewhere along the Atlanta Beltline – in the city he calls his “hometown in America.”
